Old Sites & Migrations :
1. Ọ́YỌ́KORO .
– aboriginal originally ruled by Oloyokoro Egboro. Later overruled by Oranmiyan as Aláàfin, above the Oloyokoro (not abolished). Also tagged Onílẹ́, to emphasise his superiority over Oloyokoro in the hegemony. Aláàfin later moved on.
2. Ọ̀YỌ́ OKO
– founded by Aláàfin Oranmiyan who later went back to rule Ile Ife leaving behind his son Ajaka as regent. Defended by Sango against Olowu.
3. Ọ̀YỌ́ ILÉ (Ọ́YỌ́KORO)
– resettled by Aláàfin Sango who tricked Oloyokoro to exile).
4. Ọ̀YỌ́ GBERE
– founded by Aláàfin Onigbogi in exile at Bariba country near Borgu, after a Nupe conquest of .
5. Ọ̀YỌ́ KUSHU
– founded by Aláàfin Ofinran in transit from Gbere to back to Ọ́yọ́koro.
6. Ọ̀YỌ́ IGBOHO
– founded by Aláàfin Egunoju after leaving Kushu and briefly transiting in the town of Shaki.
Aláàfin Orompoto (female) who seriously fortified the army, and the stern Aláàfin Ajiboyede Sopasan who both ruled at Igboho.
7. Ọ̀YỌ́ KOGBAYE
– a temporary transit camp of Aláàfin Abipa while rebuilding the original Ilé ( Oro).
8. Ọ̀YỌ́ ORO (OYO ILÉ)
– Ilé as reoccupied by Aláàfin Abipa (Ọba m’oro) , who was initially deceived by his chiefs at Igboho that it was a ghost country. He was succeeded by Aláàfin Obalokun who jumpstarted the Empire drive
