How to Buy and Send BTC from Cash App
Step 1: Buy Bitcoin on Cash App
- Open Cash App and log in
- Tap the “$” (Money) tab at the bottom
- Tap “Bitcoin” under the Investing section
- Tap “Buy”
- Enter the amount in USD or BTC you want to purchase
- Confirm the current BTC price and fees
- Tap “Confirm & Buy”
- Authenticate with PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID
Step 2: Send BTC to External Wallet
- Go to the “Bitcoin” section in Cash App
- Tap “Withdraw Bitcoin”
- Enter the amount you want to send
- Tap “Enter Address Manually”
- Paste your external BTC wallet address
- Review the network fee
- Tap “Confirm” and authenticate
Important Notes:
- Cash App holds BTC purchases for 24 hours before allowing withdrawals
- Only send BTC to Bitcoin (BTC) addresses
- Always test with a small amount first
